Function:
The file trolley is built in modules. Workstations that need more space can also stack 4 or 5 modules together, others fewer.
The shelves are designed so that folders can be pulled out without having to be lifted over the metal edge that runs round them. The top, however, is designed as a surface to put things on. Here the metal edge serves as a lip so that nothing rolls or falls off.
The trolley is on castors and has 2 castors with brakes on one side, so it can be fixed in one spot.
The castor treads are light grey. They leave no marks, even on sensitive floors. Not even when the trolley is dragged with the wheels braked.
Each individual shelf takes a load of 100kg.
One module measures LWH 730x330x350mm.
The base trolley, with the top on, can be used as a transport trolley.
Design:
It’s a steel and birch plywood combination. This gives a workshop character that relies largely on untreated materials.
The mild steel is coated with matt clear lacquer; discolouration from the heat of welding, or even the beginnings of corrosion, are fixed in place this way and preserved. But the steel can now be touched without getting dirty hands.
The plywood panels are treated with linseed oil, as naturally as possible. This brings out the grain considerably; the wood grain is emphasised. The surface is protected too.
The special charm comes from combining the two materials.
We made these trolleys in larger numbers for a Berlin advertising agency. The dimensions and the design, however, are fully adaptable.

Die Multiplexplatten sind so natürlich wie möglich mit Leinöl behandelt. 
Dadurch wird die Maserung erheblich angefeuert, die Holzmaserung wird damit betont. Zudem ist die Oberfläche geschützt.
