The wood chip store at Schloss & Gut Liebenberg in Löwenberger Land came with a condition from the building authority: the ceiling above the store has to be fire-resistant, i.e. fire resistance class F90 to DIN 4102 – it must withstand a fire for 90 minutes. So we installed a suspended fire-rated ceiling made of fire-protection boards below the existing ceiling, filled all joints and seams, and closed up the connections. It was a pretty large area, and as so often the real work was in the details: the columns in the room had to be boxed in all around, plus the wall connections to old, uneven masonry and the pipe penetrations. The condition is met and the store can be filled again. We do fire-rated ceilings and drywall work in Oberhavel and Berlin.
