This shed of around 300 m² in Löwenberger Land was covered with corrugated asbestos cement sheets over old roofing felt, and the roof had already partly collapsed. We took the sheets off intact, removed the roofing felt separately and disposed of both separately as hazardous waste – the client received the disposal certificate. The work was done in protective suits and respirators; the sheets were stacked and wrapped, not broken, so that no fibres are released. We hold the certificate of competence under TRGS 519 (German asbestos regulation) and are permitted to dismantle asbestos cement products properly – for sheds, garages and outbuildings in Berlin and Oberhavel.
