In Glienicke/Nordbahn we dismantled a garden pool 5 m (16 ft) in diameter and disposed of it properly. Then came the backfilling: around 100 tons of sand went into the pit, and that is not a one-day job – we filled and compacted it in layers over two months so the surface won’t settle later. Finally we put 10 cm (4 in) of topsoil on top, and the pool has turned back into a perfectly normal garden. Seed the lawn, done. 🙂 We take on demolition and garden work in Berlin and northern Brandenburg.
