A customer in Berlin wanted plenty of space and storage. To go with his furnishings, the fronts were to be limed oak, which we achieved here with veneered chipboard and ABS edging.
The brief was a hallway cupboard that almost disappears into the wall. Plus plenty of storage and a compartment for a 2.6m ladder. Built with white veneered chipboard, stainless steel handles and scribed to the wall. The cupboard is 3.28m high.
We restored these shutters for customers in Berlin-Steglitz. Thanks to a sound basic construction, only the surface had opened up through swelling and wear, so with a lot of sanding, a bit of filling and of course several fresh coats of paint, the shutters are now doing their job in the customer’s chosen colour. These pine floorboards are now shining in new beauty. They were very grey and in places dirty and worn from normal kitchen use. The kitchen units were to stay in place while we worked. For the oil finish, we took our cue from another room in the house. I think the result speaks for itself.
The job was to pull out a thuja hedge at least 20 years old. The customer had already done a good job of getting rid of the cuttings himself. Because of its age, the root ball was more than 1m across. A case for our “Orange One”.
This roughly 15m pine had to go. As it stood in a very awkward spot, a climbing felling was needed. The effort was rewarded with a lovely view over Glienicke.
Something small for a change: the job was to hide the router, phone and aerial.
This perfectly healthy sweet cherry got a good hard prune, as it had already spread over the neighbouring shed and up against the house.
A Berlin law firm needed considerably more space for special archive boxes. It’s a simple, purpose-built construction made from veneered furniture board.
Along with the fence panels and the gates, the wooden posts also became steel posts. At the customer’s request, a special stop and strike plate was made. The already pressure-treated fence will be colour-matched later on.
After water damage, this room needed a new floor. The client chose a Rustic Pecan design and white skirting boards. The floor is an extremely tough 5mm-thick textured vinyl, laid as planks.
